THE MASTER

Out of pitch darkness, a light suddenly shines, as if a switch was flicked.

The Master enters, and I go to Him and sit at His feet.

The Master shows me love.

He is so noble. So magnificent. I am awestruck at His majesty and overjoyed to see Him.

All around us are wondrous things. Plants, animals, and things made from plants and animals and substances unknown to me.

Many things that He creates are too small for me to see, too large for my eyes to encompass, or too complex for me to comprehend.

He has power over the darkness and the light.

He provides for me. Out of nowhere He will produce food, sustenance for us, for my friends and me. Water flows at His touch to sustain us.

When I am hurt, He heals and comforts me.

When it is cold outside, He keeps us warm. When it is hot, He cools us. He shelters me from the storm.

He provides for my every need.

I try to be obedient to Him, but sometimes I fail. But He always makes me feel welcome to return to His good graces.

Everything He does is for my good.

I am utterly dependent upon His care; I am a planet and He is the sun I revolve around.

Other beings come at His beck and call. They listen while He speaks His important messages.

He travels vast distances at great speed. I wonder if He can be everywhere at once.

Sometimes He is away for a long time, but He always returns.

His ways are so far above mine, they are unimaginable. His doings are inexplicable to me.

He creates wondrous works of art and things both miniscule and gigantic, the uses for which I cannot imagine.

His sense of time is different from mine, and He spends that time doing things I will never understand.

Sometimes His speech is not intelligible, but I always recognize His voice. Sometimes His language is different, or He makes pleasant sounds which I cannot comprehend, but I always enjoy hearing them.

He takes me by the hand and we go walking in creation. I follow, because He knows the way.

He loves to have me near Him.

He loves me as if I am His only child, even though I know He has many that He loves.

When I do wrong, He gently reprimands. He teaches me correct ways and blesses me when I learn well. He loves me forever and unconditionally.

……….

And though I will never be capable of understanding His time, His doings, His ways, His unfathomable superiority...I will always abide with Him…because He is my Master.

………..
………..

He is my Human and I am His Dog.
